Say, Mike, are you new around here? If so, let me be the first to welcome you.*Holds out hand.*
He's been around. I remember him asking about Unknown's blog.
Cory made the right call. I'd also take soup.
One can eat soup out of the can it comes in, Sean. An empty bowl does no one any good.
I can wear it as a stylish hat.
I agree with Sean.
Soup or Bowl
I get it now. That's comedy gold.
oh yeah, old man miles hasn't seen this one yet. that's a shame, it's one of my favorites, despite christian's inability to properly appreciate it.
The Eskimo rocks
Easily a top 5 episode.
I *like* the episode. It's just not in my top 10.
"The Eskimo" is easily the best episode for Shawn's journey in meeting the world and getting over his own self-doubt.Milestones, my dear friend, you are in for a treat. Say, you're still in Season 3 right? If so, it won't be long before the Monkees come for a visit.
Cryptid, my young friend, I jumped back into S3 just a couple of days ago, after an extended pause. Looking forward to watching the rest of series, with most of the episodes the gang here holds in the highest regard apparently still to come. But wow, even when they don’t give him much to do, William Daniels is always rock solid.
So there were the Monkees, three of them at least. Then they threw in some Partridge Family at the end. Well, memories of that show are also dim. Had a thing for Susan Dey. There was an episode with Richard Pryor that couldn’t possibly be as awesome as I remember it being. And Dave Madden was funny. More sure about that. He had been on Laugh-In.That was all just okay. The next episode might be a turning point for me watching the series. Didn’t think it was going to be that good. It seemed like an extended edition of the bowdlerized Dear Penthouse stuff (at least in setup) BMW sometimes presents. But it was great. I dreamed it once but you weren’t here. My favourite line so far.
Let's see...the next episode in the series should be "The Last Temptation of Cory." That was pretty important, all things considered.Important...hmmm.Hey, guys. It's pretty universal that "The Eskimo" is one of Shawn's most significant episodes. And "Security Guy" is probably Eric's most significant episode. So what's the most important episode for Cory in his quest to Meet the World?
And then I watched City Slackers.
Ah! One of the best Feeny-Shawn episodes in the entire series. And not gonna lie, I actually like the billiards subplot.
Cryptid, billiards certainly was far from the weakest subplot I’ve seen. Am I correct in thinking the series raised its game early in Season 3? I was watching the episodes, and generally enjoying them, but in fits and starts, and mostly to get a better handle on what I read here and see on GMW (some day Mr. Squirrels will make sense to me). Quite suddenly I’m watching 3 or 4 a day, for their own intrinsic value.I hope I don’t have to listen to any more covers of Art Garfunkel songs, though.
Things got better in Season 3, but I think a larger aspect of it, or at least an often overlooked aspect, may be its more serial nature. A lot of Season 1 and Season 2 episodes could be seen virtually anywhere in their respective seasons. This is generally true for GMW as well.
Things definitely *improve* in Season 3, but Season 4 is when it really takes a massive jump in quality. It sustains that into Season 5. And in Season 6 the quality slips, and in 7 it slips a bit further, but certainly at least remains funnier than it was in the beginning."So what's the most important episode for Cory in his quest to Meet the World?"That's a tougher question, because Eric and Shawn had specific arcs, whereas Cory didn't have some big change and growth to go through. So it's harder to pinpoint "Ah, that one. That's the one." Because I'm not even sure what we'd be addressing - his relationship with Topanga? His insecurities about fitting in? His fear of change?
"Because I'm not even sure what we'd be addressing - his relationship with Topanga? His insecurities about fitting in? His fear of change?"Hmmmm, yeah that's a good point.Maybe if we break that down:Cory's relationship with Topanga: The Lauren Arc, I'd say. Thinking from a critical standpoint, it's better than the Wedding Arc, and Cory comes to the conclusion that he /cannot/ live without Topanga. I'm open to debate on this."Insecurities about fitting in?" Well...this definitely didn't go away after "Thrilla in Philla'" as much as I enjoy "You are you, I am I." I'm not sure when this stopped, because it did, eventually. Hmmm, I guess "You're Married, You're Dead" with Sean's buddy Gambling Dan. That's the last time I can think of that Cory tried to change to fit in with peers."His fear of change?" This hasn't gone away. Not even a tiny bit. But as far as growth Cory went through before devolving back to the way he was? The aptly-named "Things Change" at the end of Season 5.What do you think, guys?
here is what I think sean I think that lucas is nothing like Topanga and that if you look in meant for me fanforum you can see that actually Freddie is more like Topanga according to what mix says rawr wrote about that carly and Freddie were more like cory and topanga
And in the expanded TGIF Universe, we see the sequel to "Full House." My friends, the first trailer to "Fuller House."https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXuGLswn2l0Oh boy...
I DONT WANT ITBAD TOUCHI DONT WANT IT
I hope all of the catchphrase callbacks are in the first episode, and then we're done with them forever
I'm more frightened about whether or not it'll wind up better than Girl Meets World.Full House was mediocre at best--even if I spent most of fourth and fifth grade watching it, compared to Boy Meets World, or hell, even Sabrina the Teenage Witch.
I'm actually excited for this for a few reasons. One, I'm curious to see how self-aware it'll be. Two, the fandom crossover (no, not GMW, just other stuff I like). Three, and most imprtantly, THE RETURN OF THE FULL HOUSE REVIEWED BLOG!!!
I never would have started without the success of Full House Reviewed, so I'm looking forward to it as well.
Honestly, while that trailer hit me in the nostalgia feels, it showcased why I probably won't watch. They have to shoehorn in all of The Olsen Twins phrases since Michelle won't be involved with the show. They made that show what it was, and made them multi-millionaires before they knew what a training bra was. It's not the same, no matter what.
Pwfan. I hear what you're saying but I might hate-watch just to see Kimmy Gibbler torture the Tanners again.
New tweet from Writers."I think that people who come to our audience and then post a reveal of the story details do a great disservice to all of us."https://twitter.com/GMWWriters/status/697473089471270912Great job pissing off Michael Jacobs, teenagers. The Instagram account MakeLuck went to a live taping and blabbed everything she could. The scripts for Season 3's first episodes have also been floating aroun
And they absolutely know that this is going t happen. They can stop a lot of it by not filming in front of a live audience. They add an artificial laugh track anyway, so its not like they need the audience for that. The script leaks are coming from inside, and he can't blame audience members for that. They need to tighten internal controls or fire a few people and see if it stops.
It's a new age. People didn't have smartphones and didn't have social media to spread around rumors when Jacobs lasted worked. Legacy wasn't filmed in front of a live audience so that one will be a surprise.
I find it interesting that he expects folks not to use social media when it benefits him, but he uses it to benefit the show. Double standard. As for Legacy, a lot of folks like me will see it a week early. Some of those folks will post clips, spoilers or just the entire episode. It is going to happen regardless.
i agree it's a double standard. i dont feel bad at all. it's free publicity. i think makeluck's only accomplishment is getting people more excited to watch the show.
I'm torn. From a moral perspective, I think he has a legitimate point. From a logical perspective, with respect to the Constitution, I would much rather live in a world where piracy, in its various incarnations, is a constant. The level of overreach it would take to repress it entirely is far more frightening. Hmmm, I guess I'm not that torn after all.
I changed my mind. Jacobs tortured us with his Twitter for the last year. We talked extensively about it here. He deserves what he gets.
I wonder what with all the homage episodes BMW in the spin-off if they'll try to recreate this one? I hope not because no way would it be as good but I was just joking with a friend the other day that if this episode had been made in 2016 the tickets would be for Hamilton on Broadway instead of the Superbowl. #TheatreNerds
Some impossible mission for Maya? Huh...could work.
I have no idea what you're saying but maybe Christian does.
I think Julia meant will we see Girl Meets World have an episode similar to "The Eskimo" and since they haven't really brought sports up apart from the Knicks, would the characters have to get Broadway tickets.
So I was hoping that "Meets the Bay Window" would reverse the trend of so-so episodes that we have gotten since the Texas trilogy, but I was once again disappointed. It is clearly aimed at the 13 year old girls that are the supposed core of the fan base. I am sure they will think it is the best episode ever and vote it the highest on the IMDB ratings. For me it falls somewhere into the lower third of season 2. I'm sure clips will be available in a few hours. And for those that didn't see the announcement, "Legacy" premieres March 11th and Season 3 kicks off with "Meets High School Part 1" on June 3rd and "Part 2" on June 5th.
Dammit. I'd been looking forward to Bay Window.
Fuck. The writers said this was their favorite. Dammit.
Oh crap. 1960 almost always receives episodes better than Christian and I do. That is bad bad news.
Bay Window clips - https://www.instagram.com/rauraausllygmwvids/ Remember, I told you this wasn't going to be pleasant.
That was painful.
Oh boy. Didn't hate it. Didn't hate it.

First official trailer for Sabrina's DCOM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9nIuu8TYBxE
I totally thought you meant the teenage witch sort of Sabrina and I was pretty excited. Sofia Carson was the only compelling actor in Descendants, so it's cool that she's getting more work. But it looks terrible, obviously.
