For all my American countrymen, a Happy Fourth of July to you! No new episode this week, but we'll be back next week. In celebration, how about you give 1776 starring William Daniels as John Adams a watch! It's where John Adams High gets its name!
And if you're British - BOO! BOO ON YOU ON THIS, OUR INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Or, if you're just not willing to make that kind of commitment, you can also find William Daniels in Season 1, Episode 21 of Scrubs. That has less to do with Independence Day, though.
Every time I see a movie or TV show about John Adams or the singing of the Declaration of Independence (like on the HBO show they got) I think it's weird that it's not Daniels or there's no musical numbers.
ReplyDeleteI've watched 1776 a couple times over both on my own, and in school. William Daniels as John Adams is truly great theater.
ReplyDeleteIn college, I took a course on musicals, and we watched a clip from "1776." Someone said, "I think that's Mr. Feeny," and then the entire class started flipping out, with variations of, "OH MY GOD! It is Feeny."
ReplyDeleteI'm so pumped to see the review for Mr. Squirrels Goes to Washington... Biggest plot twist of all time.
