  1. I don't even know what that is, but I would do it just because you're writing it. I love your writing.

    1. This is Cryptid.

According to Wikipedia, Cowboy Bebop is an anime following the lives of a bounty hunter crew traveling on the Bebop (their spaceship) and explores philosophical concepts including existentialism, existential ennui, and loneliness.

      Heck yeah, I'm in.

    3. YES!!! Your reviews are the best. It's the Christian and Sean show. Y'all are wayyy better than Riley and Maya.πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎπŸΎ

From what it sounds like, Felix, "Cowboy Bebop" sounds a bit like a precursor to "Firefly."

    5. Well, I sure loved Firefly (and anything else by Joss Whedon), so once again, I can confirm I will avidly watch the show and follow your blog. Dang, I'm excited!

    6. I believe I've heard that Bebop was one of Whedon's influences. Not sure if it's true, but it's hard to imagine they're not. There's differences (Firefly's much more Western, Cowboy Bebop's a bit more Space Film Noir) but a lot's the same.

  3. Long time lurker, first time commenting. Sad to see this die but would LOVE to see you guys do Cowboy BeBop. That just gives me an excuse (not that I really needed one) to re-live the series yet again.

  4. Never watched it but both of you are incredibly entertaining writers and it'd almost feel wrong not to continue reading, I've been following BMWR since almost the beginning

I'd love to see a little bit more Meets World content out of two as well

Not particularly pricey this time Milestones. Cowboy Bebop is only one season, at twenty-six episodes, plus one movie.

Of course, Canada prices might be different than US prices.

    2. Looks like it's 25 bucks for the regular, 60-something for the mega edition.

Also, streaming on Hulu if you have that and Adult Swim's website.

    3. Grah. $60 AU.

I probably wouldn't regularly contribute; but I would be reading, as you're one of the few reviewers for -any- fandom at the moment; that don't either ignore weak spots, or criticise purely for the sake of criticising.

    4. It's worth noting it's... pretty easy to just find it online via random streaming sites.

    5. Online availability differs up here as much as does price. The regular-sized Blu-ray was on sale for $42 CDN at amazon.ca, putting it midway between 1776 and the BMW box.

I pulled the trigger, so now I really want this to happen.

    6. Oh wow! Kudos to you, Milestone, thanks for the dedication! Yeah, I think we're pretty much decided we're doing it.

    7. The discs came yesterday, and I watched the first episode just to see what it was like. I'm all in.

  6. I'd be a bit hesitant, but I love your reviews. Why not Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

    1. I've never really watched it, so there's no telling if I'd stay interested. This, we've both seen and know we like. Also, Buffy lasted a long time making it much more of a commitment.

    2. buffy's like a hundred seasons and the episodes are an hour long, aren't they? that's trouble

There's a chance I might show up for the first couple reviews and then leave for a year or two and then meet up on the next review blog

or i might stick around idunno

  8. You should review the wonder years or gilmore girls both awesome shows.

    1. I actually love gilmore girls, but again, it's an hour long and there's like a hundred seasons. An enormous part of our decision to do Bebop is that it's only 26 half-hour episodes.

  9. I loved Buffy. I liked Gilmore Girls. Wonder Years... meh. Other than that they avoided the cliche of having the titular hero end up with the girl, it was fairly formulaic.

But the point is - for at least two of those shows, (Buffy and Gilmore Girls) they were a big investment, and there's been a -lot- written about them. They passed on Scrubs for this very reason. And Buffy especially if you look at the whole series rather than just the good episodes... could actually get very tiring.

I'll give this a shot. I haven't traditionally been a fan of anime; but I do respect Sean and Christian's opinion a fair bit, even if I've occasionally disagreed on the minutae... not really on whether something is good or not.

Freaks and Geeks is great and only like ten episodes, but I can't stress enough how much I don't want to review an hour long show

    3. I'm actually in the process of watching Gilmore Girls for the first time now and am almost finished, also, and I wouldn't really be up for *immediately* rewatching it.

    4. The hour-long thing really doesn't bother me as much as it does Sean.

  10. Here's a scene to give people a sense of the tone of the show. There's nothing important or spoiler-y in it, it's kind of just a one-off moment.

  13. I was originally going to post this on the Maya character discussion.

One of the main reasons I'm going to follow this, is because this is one of the few fandom blogs/forums of -any- fandom I've checked, where neither the bloggers or the readers are argumentative for the sake of it, and where the arguing is always attacking the argument, not the arguer. This is just so rare these days, so kudos to everyone; but especially Sean and Christian because they're also pretty quick to leap on something when someone does go too far.
