Hey Christian, the percentages are still on these polls...

  2. Cory and Riley.
And guys, I can see the percentages for Cory and Shawn's round.

  3. Cory and Eric for me. Cory was always going to be my vote for Champ. Eric over Riley because I don't want to see a father daughter final!

    1. I just went back and checked the Quarter Final Percentages. Was the Cory-Fenny match the closest of this whole competition?

    2. I believe Eli and Dean and Jack and Jason were just as close. But Cory's six percentage point lead actually only showed up last night. They spent the vast majority of the time at 51/49 or 52/48 and Feeny was very often ahead of Cory to boot.

    3. It worked out to winning by like 8 or 9 votes if my math is right. Crazy.

You know, all things considered, it makes sense that it all comes down to this. Christian, Sean, I can't remember who's idea this was, but cheers. This was great.

I went the other way, but I definitely get why people would vote for Cory and Riley. Cory's the Boy. Riley's the Girl. And they are both fantastic characters.

    6. 'Twas my idea! But Sean's done an excellent job of executing it.

Cory and Shawn is a tough matchup. Much tougher, in my opinion, than Cory/Feeny (Feeny's great, but BMW wasn't really *about* him in the way it was about the core four) So that one's just a judgment call. I enjoy Cory more than Shawn as a character, since I tend to find him funnier and he doesn't have the emo business that pisses me off with Shawn (Riley has eclipsed Maya for me for these same reasons), but I adore both these characters a lot and can totally see why people would vote for Shawn over Cory.

Eric vs. Riley is less easy for me to get behind in terms of "Hey, could go either way!" just because she's a lot less established and hasn't had the wealth of material he's had. And I just don't think GMW is of a quality that any GMW character (even the main one) should beat a core BMW character. But then, I also don't know why anyone would vote for someone other than Eric when you could vote for Eric. :)

    7. Part of that is Eric having seven seasons, while Riley's had one and a half.

This wasn't as hard for me. Eric and Shawn. At this point, there really is a wrong choice.

Bit surprised to see Eric truly demolish Alan though. I thought it'd be more like 70% to 30%

    *Isn't a wrong choice.

  7. Cory and Riley. The Boy and Girl Meeting the World will face off for the win. Tough call for me for Cory over Shawn, as he was/is great. If Shawn was more involved in GMW that might have changed my vote. I love Riley and her outlook on life, so she gets my vote.

  8. Shawn and Eric. The two most dynamic characters left. That's really why I'm putting them through. Also, this means I only had 1/4 of the Final Four right, and that saddens me. So close to predicting the Final Four. Damn.

  9. I went back and looked at the initial thread and, unless I'm much mistaken, not a single person got the Final Four right which is pretty surprising. Although everybody had Shawn in there (literally everybody, I believe) and almost everybody had Eric, the majority of people had Feeny over Cory, and I don't think anybody had Riley over Maya.

  11. Shawn and Eric for me.

Eric is my favorite character so the choice was easy.

Cory vs Shawn was harder. Cory's funnier but Shawn has more development. Howver Think what won out was Shawn's maturity in later seasons while Cory's control issues could get a little annoying at times.

    1. Oh and I might as well say Eric. Cory and Shawn? I can't choose so I voted "blind"

  13. Didn't know where to put this, so I'll stick it here.

The Emmy's are being held tonight, and unfortunately, Girl Meets World did NOT win the Emmy for Outstanding Children's Show.

  14. Do you think the sudden influx of votes came from posting the link in the I am farkle review? That may have gotten some people who weren't voting in previous rounds to participate. Either way I'm glad you did, I wanted to see Cory pull out a win

    1. Hmmm...no I doubt it. Maybe a little--certainly enough to put Cory over Feeny, but the Quarter Finals were up for three days before "I Am Farkle" was posted.

    2. That was our intention, actually. It was extremely close all three days, so we wanted to get as many votes as possible from the folks that hadn't been keeping up.

    4. How much of an impact did it end up having? I thought most of the votes were in by the time the review and link were up.

    5. Was feeny winning before you guys posted that?

      Delete
    6. No, he wasn't. It actually didn't wind up having much impact. Cory had been at 54% and I think dropped down to 53% between posting the episode review and the message and closing it.

    7. We got maybe 15-20 votes? Didn't make much of a dent. I think most people inclined to vote already had.

  15. Both my votes lost?! Noooooooooooooooo....
