Tommy has defeated Rhiannon with 83% of the votes against 17%.
Well Lucas, Zay (I know) and Rhiannon for me.
ReplyDeleteLucas over Charlie at this point seems like a given. If Charlie recurs a few more times and develops, that could change in the future.
Zay over Griff - I never really liked Griff as much as our reviewers seemed to. I was more of a Harley fan, and unlike most folks, I like Zay's attitude. And Amir is a better actor than Peyton, though how much is that saying?
While Tommy was important for Eric, my dislike of Eric in general swings this match for me in favor of Topanga's mom. Hopefully Marsh Cross will return to see her grandchildren before GMW ends.
You don't like Eric? Jeez.
DeleteI voted for Charlie, Griff, and Tommy.
Eric from season 1 and 2 BMW was fine. After that if he wasn't involved, I never missed him. Season 6/7 and the first 2 GMW episodes Eric - hated him. YMMV
DeleteZay up against Griff? Why not just put this in the Red Division while you're at it?
ReplyDeleteI have no idea what that means.
DeleteSame.
DeleteSince the Red Division is loaded up with all the ringers vs. all the losers (save for the two Morgans battle)
DeleteThese are seeded. *Every* match-up in *every* division (more or less, with some exceptions) is supposed to have been between obvious winners and losers. The only ones that shouldn't have felt basically obvious are those between 4th and 5th seeds, like Eli/Dean or Morgan/Morgan or Dana/Jennifer. But Turner/Harper, Amy/Wendy, Chet/Vader, Jack/Feffy, these should mainly all have seemed pretty clear-cut.
DeleteThat way, the stronger people will go up against each other in the final rounds. It's also why we gave byes to Cory, Shawn, Eric, Topanga, Feeny, Alan, Riley, and Maya, to not even bother putting them against people this early.
Hey Unknown, I have an off-topic question for you, figure this is the best place to ask it:
DeleteThis spinoff Bunk'd from Jessie, how's it working exactly? Because it stars half the case of Jessie, now at a camp, but Jessie's still airing, with those characters... so are they just.... on both shows? Do they take place in alternate timelines? Does Bunk'd take place in the future, after Jessie's ended? How is that not spoiling the end of Jessie? Help me make sense of this.
half the cast*
DeleteHey, did you guys all know that pre-GMW Rowan was one of the leads in that 2011 SPY KIDS 4 movie? I had no idea! She's so little!
ReplyDeleteHow crazy is it that Charlie is far more appealing after having appeared in only one episode than Lucas who's been here from the very beginning. The actor is expected to return for an episode in October, so I'm pleased to know he's not a one-off. Hopefully, Charlie will eventually become a regular and take the place as love-interest-for-our-leading-lady, though, with the news that Zay is now a regular, I guess I'm a little less optimistic.
ReplyDeleteCharlie, Griff, and Tommy for me.
http://jeffmenell.com/uploads/Shawn2.pdf
ReplyDeleteJust found this early script of And Then There Was Shawn, and boy is it BAD. Pretty interesting to see all the changes and how it eventually became one of the show's best and most beloved episodes though. I wonder if there's more out there for other episodes
This is one of my favorite comments ever. Thank you so much. I'm halfway through it and I don't think it's that bad at all.
DeleteHaha thanks Sean! I just don't know, maybe because it's not what I'm used to and I don't get to hear the actor's performances but it just seems so... Rough. Which obviously it would be because it isn't the final, but seriously they were gonna incorporate Morgan, Alan and Amy? Seems pretty silly
DeleteYeah I hear you. If I weren't familiar with the characters and actors it would read pretty poorly. But a lot of the jokes became funny, for me, when I imagined the voices and deliveries the actors would do.
DeleteThe million dollars line was good--but wait, I think they kept that.
DeletePoor Bobby....
Angela, not very funny. Jack, surprisingly involved. Hmmm....
Hey! Where'd the "Go Feeny" joke go?
Library scene...ehhhhh.
Lucas over Charlie. Since to this point Charlie has only one episode, I'm going with Lucas. We have seen improvement from Lucas to this point, and I hope to see more. I have faith that this character will get better.
ReplyDeleteGriff over Zay. I do not like Zay. That's my reasoning.
Tommy over Rhiannon. While only a plot device, I think that early Tommy showed us the very best in Eric Matthews. And I did like how they re-introduced him to the audience, even though he'll probably only show up once. I don't remember Topanga's mom much, so that also influences my decision.
This is pretty much all my choices for all the same reasons more or less.
DeleteI will add that I don't hate Zay, I just think he's an unnecessary addition to what is already a crowded cast.
"I will add that I don't hate Zay, I just think he's an unnecessary addition to what is already a crowded cast."
DeleteAgreed. Heck, I think Lucas crowds up the cast unnecessarily, but then, I'm biased in favor of Power Trios. Riley, Maya and Farkle have six years of friendship and then Lucas pretty much *poofs* into existence and shakes up the status quo. But we never actually saw the status quo.
